KORIYAMA, FUKUSHIMA―A photo exhibit started at Asaka History Museum.

At the photo exhibit from July 12, we are displaying three works by a photographer, Katsuhiro Noguchi which won the grand prize at Nikon Photo Contest2014-2015.

We are also displaying hanakatsumis, the flowers of Koriyama City, which Basho asked for.

Asaka History Museum is located at the site of Asaka High School in Koriyama.
Those who visit the school building may feel nostalgic because the atmosphere there hasn't changed since Meiji period.
We can't help smiling looking at chairs attached to the desks, some of which students carved something into, when they graduated from school.
We would like those who come home to feel the "Flowers of Fukushima" and the history of Koriyama.
It has been said that there is no castle in Koriyama, but you can find out that there are 180 remains of castle walls, found from Kamakura to Edo period.

Lots of people came to visit us, and we are now having a second message board at the venue.
We are looking forward to your visit.
