SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA―We are having a photo exhibit, “Flowers of Fukushima.”

We are having a photo exhibit, “Flowers of Fukushima” at Yuga Cafe and Gallery in Sydney, Australia.
In time with the exhibit, we had a telephone interview with Ms. Hirabayashi, a correspondent at SBS, the local radio station in Sydney.
They aired the eleven-minute interview, including why Mr. Noguchi started taking photos. Please listen to the archived voice data.

We realized this photo exhibit, thanks to the support from Mr. Watanabe from Sydney Fukushima-Kenjinkai.
We really appreciate it.

We are able to display limited numbers of photos because of the transportation cost abroad, like the photo exhibit in Seattle, America in September. But we are very happy to view the photos on the panel as well as on the web. I guess among them, there are photos of flowers you cannot find around Sydney, which is in the southern hemisphere. We hope that people in Sydney will be able to actually come see beautiful flowers in Fukushima.
People who are interested in Japanese culture and people who like flowers gather in the venue, Yuga Cafe, which offers Japanese flower arrangement classes.

◆Date: From Saturday, October 22 to Sunday, November 13
◆Location: Yuga Cafe and Gallery, 172 St Johns Road, Glebe, NSW

(We are having an exhibit as part of subsidy business by Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Fukushima Prefectural International Exchange Association.)
