Tohoku FlOWER JET is going to fly in the sky from May, 2016.

Tohoku FlOWER JET, colored with flowers from six prefectures in Tohoku,
is going to fly in the sky from May this year.

The project was planned by the young ANA workers and the plane was decorated by flowers
which a photographer, Mr. Katsuhiro Noguchi took in six prefectures in Tohoku area.
"Flowers of Fukushima" also fly in the air!

He took photos of Flowers of Fukushima when they are the most beautiful,
with the help from people in various parts of the prefecture who say “Flowers are in bloom!”
He gave the photos a lot of time and emotion by listening to local people.

He took photos of rosy lilies in Nishiaizu-machi,
Spiraea thunbergiis in Mt. Hanami, Fukushima City,
hanakatsumis and sunflowers in Koriyama City,
marsh marigolds, Lespedeza bicolors, and Aster ageratoides in Otama village,
East Indian lotuses and fringed orchids in Inawashiro-cho
and dahlias in Hanawa-machi.

Each flower is filled with the story of Flowers of Fukushima :
flowers kept well by local people even before the earthquake disaster,
flowers grown by a family for generations,
flowers symbolized by local governments and attached to by us,
flowers secretly blooming in the mountain introduced by a botanist,
celestial flowers, and flowers which overcame harmful rumors.

The plane with emotions of Tohoku people is going to fly in the blue sky from May.
We cannot wait for the first flight.
We thank you again for your cooperation and support.
In addition, we are exhibiting some of the flowers mentioned above at the venue of an ongoing photo exhibit,
LVMH Children's Art Maison (Soma City) until February 5. We welcome your visit.
